Does this solution work with all types of routers?
IronWifi can work with any router or access point as long as it supports the features required for your use case. For captive portal deployments, the access point must support external captive portal redirection with RADIUS authentication. For WPA2-Enterprise (802.1X) deployments, the access point must support external RADIUS server configuration.
Most enterprise-grade access points from vendors like Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, Ubiquiti, MikroTik, and FortiGate meet these requirements. Consumer-grade home routers typically do not support external RADIUS or captive portal features, so they are generally not compatible.
