Netgear
Netgear access points (WAX and Insight-managed series) and business routers authenticate WiFi clients against IronWiFi cloud RADIUS using WPA2-Enterprise (802.1X), with an optional external captive portal for guest networks. RADIUS and splash page settings are applied per SSID in the Netgear Insight cloud console or the device's local web UI.
Prerequisites
In IronWiFi Console (complete these first):
- Create a Network in IronWiFi Console
- Create a Captive Portal with the appropriate vendor
- Note your RADIUS settings and Splash Page URL
In Netgear:
- Administrative access to Netgear device
- Network connectivity to IronWiFi RADIUS servers

Troubleshooting

Vendor-Specific Notes
Netgear Insight managed access points support external RADIUS servers. Configure RADIUS settings under WiFi > RADIUS Server in the Insight app or cloud portal. For standalone mode, access the AP's local web interface directly.
